Frozen Peach Daiquiris recipe
Peach season, do you have to end?
My weekly CSA box has included a huge bag of fresh summer peaches every week for a while. I’ve made a few cobblers, enjoyed them with my morning yogurt and made peach simple syrup.
And now I am hoarding them and stashing bags of slices in the freezer, to make smoothies and cocktails with until next summer.
Right now I am obsessed with making Frozen Peach Daiquiris on a Friday night. They are bright, light and filled to the brim with fresh peach flavor.
Why you’ll love this recipe
I know you are going to love this recipe too!
- Frozen daiquiris are easy to make in the blender.
- You only need four ingredients.
- They taste amazing and are so refreshing! This is a good
drink for pool days or cookouts.
Also, some daiquiris are made with a mix and this recipe uses real, fresh peaches! You can’t get much better than that.
What is a daiquiri?
The daiquiri is a classic cocktail made with rum and lime juice. Truthfully, the classic daiquiri isn’t what you’ll see sloshing around in a slushie machine at a bar.
Classic daiquiris are stronger. Made with rum, lime juice and simple syrup, they’re served neat, usually in a coupe glass. This raspberry daiquiri is a great example of a shaken daiquiri.
The classic daiquiri is a very different
And while I love a classic one, today I’m here with one of our frozen friends.
Frozen daiquiris might not be traditional, but they are fun and so refreshing in the summertime!
Ingredients for Frozen Peach Daiquiris
You only need a few ingredients for a frozen peach daiquiri. Here’s what to grab at the grocery store:
Rum
White rum is light and crisp. It’s a clear-colored spirit that’s great for mixing into flavored drinks like a frozen daiquiri. You can also use dark rum or aged rum in this recipe for a stronger rum flavor. (But keep in mind your finished cocktail may have a slightly darker color.)
I often buy Bacardi for a budget buy, but I also like Cruzan and Plantation. Don’t miss this guide to rum for my other top picks.
If you like you can venture for a spiced rum to give your frozen peach daiquiri more of a peach cobbler flavor, or go for a flavored rum like pineapple rum for a more tropical-tasting cocktail.
Lime juice
I always recommend fresh lime juice if you have it on hand, but feel free to use a good quality lime concentrate.
To get more juice out of fresh limes, use room-temperature citrus. I use one of these citrus squeezers to get the most juice out of my limes.

Peaches
Fresh peaches always have the best flavor! But you can use frozen peaches too.
If using fresh peaches, make sure you have ripe peaches for this cocktail. There are a number of types of peaches that will work in this recipe:
- yellow peaches
- white peaches
- donut peaches
- nectarines (technically a type of peach!)
Firm peaches won’t be ripe enough. Ripe peaches will have a little give to them when you give them a light squeeze in your hand.
If you have bruised peaches or ones that are about to turn, don’t toss them! They will still work well in this cocktail! Actually, fruit is usually at its most flavorful when it’s not as pretty.
But if fresh fruit is out of season or not available near you, you can use frozen peaches. Though it’s hard to beat that fresh peach flavor, frozen peaches will still taste great.
Ice
You will need a bit of ice for this recipe, so be sure to grab a bag at the store if you’re planning to make a lot. Or you can use whatever you make in your own freezer.
How to make Frozen Peach Daiquiris
First, cut your fresh peaches into slices. They don’t have to be pretty. You can peel them or leave the skins on. (I keep mine on.)
Then you’ll toss the peaches in your blender with rum, lime juice and ice and give it a whirl. For drinks, I recommend getting a really good blender like a Vitamix.
Blend until smooth! You’re looking for the consistency of a slushy, with no chunks of ice remaining.
Then, pour into a couple of glasses. Garnish your frozen peach daiquiris with a cute cocktail umbrella, sprigs of fresh mint leaves and maybe a peach slice.
Variations and substitutions
There are a few ways to mix up this
Make it non-alcoholic. Use a zero-proof spirit such as Ritual rum alternative to make it a virgin peach daiquiri.
Skip the ice. Use peach simple syrup instead of fresh peaches to serve this cocktail up.
Add mint. Mint and peaches go so well together! Add 2 ounces of mint simple syrup to bring in some fresh flavor.
