Your ultimate guide to bachelorette party cocktails

Bachelorette parties can vary widely. From bike bars to dancing to a quiet night in, the one thing all of the celebrations have in common is fun drinks to mark the occasion!

One bachelorette party I threw used the bride’s favorite things to guide the drink menu. Each attendee brought the ingredients to make a drink — I made Cinnamon Toast Crunch cocktails because it’s the bride’s favorite cereal and they were a big hit! Leaning into the guest of honor’s preferences is always a safe bet, and a fun conversation starter for guests who may not know each other. You can even have signature cocktails based on the bride and groom’s relationship!

You could also use the party theme to help narrow down the drinks. Hosting a sparkly pink celebration? Pink cocktails fit the bill. Have a bride who loves Broadway? Wicked cocktails will change the party for good. If you don’t have a specific theme, or don’t know what the guests will like, there are plenty of recipes that are sure to be crowd pleasers.

Quick tips for batch cocktails

Since bachelorette parties usually involve an entourage, batch cocktails are an easy way to make sure there’s plenty of drinks to enjoy without having someone stuck playing bartender all night long. Here’s how to make the best batch cocktails for your bach bash:

  1. Work ahead. Before the party starts, make any simple syrup your recipe needs, squeeze any fresh juices and mix all ingredients beforehand, then chill until party time.
  2. Wait on the bubbles. Anything like champagne, club soda, ginger beer, etc. should be added right before things kick off to ensure the drinks stay bubbly for a few hours.
  3. Make a mocktail. Have a non-alcoholic option for anyone who prefers not to indulge or needs a break from the booze.
  4. Multiply a favorite. If you have a recipe that’s not made for a crowd, you can multiply the ingredients by whatever amount you need, then convert to cups for easy measuring. When you visit the recipe card on any recipe on this site, use the +/- buttons at the top of any recipe card to scale the recipe as you need to.
  5. Don’t forget to dress thing up. A garnish board is the perfect partner in crime for a batch drink. You can make it ahead of time and set it out to let guests DIY their drink. It’s a great way to break the ice and ensure everyone has something they’ll enjoy!

What to serve with bachelorette cocktails

For any party, I prefer snacks that are easy to eat without utensils or a place to sit. Charcuterie cups are a great alternative to a board that lets everyone enjoy on the go. Pinwheels, either pizza pinwheels or puff pastry pinwheels with tomato, basil and parmesan, are always a hit. Or you could opt for one of my new favorite hacks to a party staple, spinach artichoke wonton cups. They take the classic dip and transform it into bite-sized cups that are so tasty!

If you want to level up your drink presentations, it’s hard to beat flower ice cubes. They’re an easy add that pack a visual punch! Dehydrated citrus rounds are another easy option, but give your drinks (and desserts) an antique feel that’s more elegant. Rock candy serves as both a garnish and a treat, which makes it a fun addition to bachelorette parties.

Don’t forget the party favors! These DIY hangover kits give everyone the essentials that they may have forgotten to pack and help keep the party going after an evening filled with fun.
