Hot Mocha Fudge Sauce for your favorite ice cream!
Finally — it is warm enough to spend time outside! Thank goodness spring is truly here. On Saturday I planted my bed at my local community garden. (Here’s proof. This is my first go at gardening, so fingers crossed.) Afterward I laid out on my porch with some work and even picked up a tiny sunburn from all the hot sunshine. Whoops!
After all that, it was time to cool off for a bowl of ice cream! I decided to extra, extra treat myself with a simple Hot Mocha Fudge Sauce to top my scoops.
I am borderline obsessed with the cookware set I received from Wolf Gourmet and have been looking for any excuse to use them. It comes with 10 shiny, durable pieces, and it reminded me how much better cooking can be when you have quality cookware. For example, I used the 2-quart saucepan for the first time to make pasta, and the water started boiling within minutes! I had been thinking my stove was broken, so this was a huge, happy surprise.
This is a versatile saucepan that’s perfect for making smaller quantities. I’ve used it to make things like pasta for two and simple syrups for my bar. I know I’m going to use this pot again and again! (And you can purchase your own Wolf Gourmet Cookware Set at Bloomingdales.) I used that same pot to make this dense, succulent Hot Mocha Fudge Sauce.
Speaking of — if you’re planning any sundaes or ice cream parties this spring or summer, you need to up your topping game. Made with real chocolate and without corn syrup, this homemade fudge sauce with added espresso will do just the trick. Promise! // susannah
P.S. Pop over to Instagram today and keep an eye out for a giveaway! You could win my favorite piece from the set — the 2-quart saucepan with lid. Details to come on Instagram later today!

This recipe seems to be missing more liquid.

It’s intended to be a thick, rich syrup, but feel free to add more to fit your preferences!
