Tips & tricks

Check out these few tricks to creating a medicine ball tea that has the best taste:

  • If you prefer your tea to be stronger, you can steep the tea bags longer. I recommend 6 minutes at minimum, but steeping for longer will make the flavors a bit more bold.
  • For the best flavor, be sure to use high quality tea. Starbucks uses Teavana peach tranquility tea bag and Teavana jade citrus mint tea. However, if you’d like a caffeine-free medicine ball, then you’ll need to grab a different green tea!
  • Feel free to make this in a large batch and refrigerate it in an airtight container. Just give it a good shake before pouring a glass and heating it up.

What to serve with Honey Citrus Mint Tea

For breakfast, these sweet blueberry muffins or tangy orange poppyseed muffins would be so tasty with this tea! For an afternoon treat, these light and fluffy madelines or some matcha shortbread cookies would also be great.

For the ultimate coffee shop experience at home, pair this tea with a slice of pumpkin bread or lemon loaf.

FAQ

Do Starbuck medicine balls actually work?

While this cup of tea is not really medicine, it is very soothing to sore throats and the ingredients do have properties that are known to provide immune system support. It is definitely a great way to keep yourself hydrated and help tame a cough a bit during flu season.

Is medicine ball tea healthy?

Depending on how sugary your lemonade is, this drink can be pretty healthy. Sweetened with just honey and the sugar in lemonade, it typically doesn’t have too much sugar per serving. Just make sure that you don’t use a super sweet lemonade or use something sweetened with an alternative option.
