This white wine cocktail brings in the natural flavors of fresh fruit plus a little citrus, making for a refreshing sip for a spring evening.
Spring is here! It’s official as of yesterday, but I think winter is unofficially still lingering nearby.
There’s also the inevitable blanket of yellow pollen that is waiting to cover North Carolina in the coming weeks. It’s a step in the right direction, though. Summer is near!
All this sunshine calls for a refreshing spring cocktail. This week’s Friday Night Delight is a Spring Spritzer, a cocktail made with fresh fruit, white wine, triple sec and club soda.
You can use any fresh fruit available to you, but I used lemon and blueberries.
Ahead of time, I popped a few blueberries into an ice cube tray for infused ice. This would also be delicious with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, kiwi — whatever you have on hand, really.
Let me know if you try it! // susannah
