The Olympic Games only happen every four years, so it’s worthy of celebrating with some Olympics cocktails! Cheer on the athletes with festive drinks representing Team USA and countries around the world.
About these Olympics Drinks
The Olympics only happen every four years, so they are worthy of celebrating! (Well, every two years when you count the Winter Games!)
Cheer on these world-class athletes with a drink representing your country’s team. The Games go on for two weeks, so there’s plenty of time to try them all. Sip them during the Opening Ceremony or while you watch your favorite event. (Gymnastics and ice skating, over here!)
These red, white and blue cocktails would be perfect for cheering on Team USA — and other countries with the same color flags, like France and the United Kingdom.
When to enjoy Olympic Cocktails
The Olympics take place every four years and each time it is hosted by a different country. In 2024, the Summer Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, and you’re going to want some French wine or an Elderflower French 75 to celebrate.
There are summer and winter competitions, which alternate every two years. (So after the Summer games, there will be Winter games in two years, and the Summer games will roll around in four years.)
The next few host cities are already lined up, too:
- 2026: The next Winter Olympics will be held in Milan, Italy.
- 2028: The Summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, USA.
- 2030: A host country for the Winter Olympics is yet to be determined. (And likely announced in 2024.)
- 2032: The Summer Olympics is back in Brisbane, Australia.
Olympics Drinks
Now, let’s move on to the drinks! Who are you rooting for?
Start things off with a Greek cocktail to celebrate the origins of the Olympic Games, such as this lemon mint ouzo drink.
These drinks from around the world can be enjoyed anytime, but they’d be extra fun for an Olympics watch party or to enjoy for your own Olympic games with your friends and family.
