Homemade Liqueur Recipes

Liqueurs are delicious, but did you know you can make many of the classic ones at home? It's true. Many of them are just mixtures of other ingredients, and others are infusions that need time to collect more flavor.

Making them is worth a shot (literally), because you can get more flavorful (and sometimes even boozier) spirits that will up your cocktail game even more. They also make excellent gifts! Here are a few of my favorites:

• Coffee lovers will love this version of homemade Kahlua: homemade coffee liqueur.
• Homemade spiced rum is surprisingly easy to make, and you can have a lot of control over how spicy you make it.
• Spicy jalapeño tequila will take all your margaritas up a notch (in the spice department).
