Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day Gift Guide // Feast + West

In case you forgot: Mother’s Day is around the corner. Sunday, May 11, to be exact. One day doesn’t seem like enough to celebrate our maternal figures. Moms are awesome, and they deserve so much gratitude for all the wonderful and tough things they do for their kids. (Did anyone else see this video about the world’s toughest job? So sweet.) It’s hard to put into words exactly how much I love my mother. She’s one heck of a lady, and she has taught me so many things — and the teaching isn’t over yet, thank goodness. I don’t know what I’d do without you, Mom!

Mum’s the word on what I’m doing for my mom this year (she reads this blog!) so I came up with a few other ideas for Mother’s Day gifts. This list is inspired by my mother, who is an expert chef, seamstress, crafter, gardener and doodler with impeccable taste. My mom loves bright colors and patterns. Her closet and home are filled with both in a pleasant blend of modern and classic designs.

I checked with her on the subject, and she recommends giving mom something she wouldn’t buy for herself. If a gift isn’t in your budget this year, moms are just as happy to get a little quality time, she said. Check back tomorrow for another Mother’s Day idea from my mom! // susannah
