The holidays are here! Arguably one of the best — and busiest — times of the year. I feel like every December, I can barely keep my head above water as the year comes to an end, but I find so much enjoyment in merry occasions with friends and family.
Last year, my friend Katie at Twin Stripe and I threw the first Bright Blog Bash. I didn’t know Katie as well then, but after another year of blogging, this year I am so grateful to have her in my life, as well as so many of my blogging friends. That’s why it was such a treat to throw the second Bright Blog Bash last month! Here’s a cute snap of Katie and me!
We gathered 18 North Carolina bloggers, makers and influencers at the gorgeous Vivid Interiors in downtown Greensboro, N.C. Katie took care of the decor (which you can see on her blog today!) and I coordinated the menu. Tiny Prints gave us these stunning custom invitations and a number of gifts for our swag bags!
The lovely Sara Coffin of Sara Logan Photography took all the photos you see here in this post, and there’s plenty more in our hashtag #brightblogbash!
We also organized a host of sponsors to contribute food to our menu, supplies for our craft and lovely gifts to send our guests home with. A huge, huge thank you to our sponsors for their generosity and excitement:
DecoArt // EDIA Maps // Farmer’s Wife // Food Should Taste Good // Frangelico // Freaker USA // French Broad Chocolates // Goldsmith Teas // It Cosmetics // Kendra Scott // KIND // Lori B Designs // Nadia Hassan // OXO // Pinrose // Poppin // Ritchie Hill Bakery // Sara Logan Photography // St. Ives // Swoozies // Tiny Prints // Vera Bradley // Vivid Interiors
Clock through to see more of our Bright Blog Bash recap!
Everyone opened their swag bags together after a champagne toast!
Okay, now let’s talk food. I asked everyone to bring something, which made the party planning a lot easier! (Especially since we didn’t have a full kitchen.)
Grace made Tea Cookies. LeAndra made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. Ashley made Salted Pecan Pie Bars. A few people brought bottles of champagne for our champagne toast, and others brought cheeses, fruits and accoutrements for a lovely cheese board. Food Should Taste Good sent us tortilla chips to serve with salsa and Amber’s homemade guacamole. Ritchie Hill Bakery sent us a big batch of cheese straws.
Oh, and I made those Vanilla Bean Cupcakes with Chai Frosting & White Chocolate Pretzel Trees — recipe to come soon. (Promise!)
And that doesn’t even include the cocktails! Here’s me and Lindsay, manning the bar:
Need holiday party inspiration? Look no further than the #brightblogbash!
We greeted everyone with an Apple Pie Chai Sparkler cocktail that I made with vodka I infused with tea from Goldsmith Teas. Need holiday party inspiration? Look no further than the #brightblogbash! Katie has the recipe!
The second cocktail was the Maple Leaf Cocktail with Frangelico, cinnamon, coffee and maple syrup — and I’ll be sharing the recipe for that later this week! OXO gave us these super nice ice cube trays to make ice for all our cocktails!
Finally, Katie led us in a DIY project — we made marbled ornaments with pretty paints from DecoArt! It’s always so nice to get off the computer and make stuff with your hands. I can’t wait to put mine on my tree!
A huge thank you to:
