Throw back a real throwback: These shots are inspired by Scooby-Doo's favorite snack! Tropical and creamy at once, they are easy and perfect for party animals.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add banana liqueur, Midori, coconut rum and pineapple juice. Spritz in a dollop of whipped cream. Shake well until the cream is fully distributed.
Strain into a 2.5-ounce shot glass. Top with more whipped cream before serving.
Notes
How to make-ahead: You can prepare a big batch of these shots in a pitcher ahead of time. A few tips:
It's easy to scale up this recipe as you need equal parts of the juices and alcohol (but half as much whipped cream in the mixture). To make it easier, use the +/- arrows above to scale up the recipe.
Wait to add the cream until just before serving them. The fruity liqueurs can be acidic and you don't want to curdle the cream.
I suggest using heavy whipping cream instead of whipped cream in the mixture, as it will be easier to measure in large amounts. (You should still put whipped cream on top of the shots though!)
Store the mixture in the fridge until ready to serve.
Variations:
Blue Scooby Snack shot: Use blue curaçao instead of the melon liqueur. This bright blue liqueur has an orange flavor, so it will still be delightfully flavorful — and colorful.
Scooby Snack Martini: If you prefer to sip more slowly, double the recipe and serve it up in a martini glass.
