Ingredients
Cinnamon Vanilla Syrup
1
whole
vanilla bean
or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2
sticks
cinnamon
1
cup
water
1
cup
sugar
Virgin Espresso Martini
1½
ounce
zero-proof coffee liqueur
such as Lyre's
2
ounces
espresso
or strong coffee, freshly brewed
½
ounce
cinnamon dolce syrup
or plain simple syrup
3
whole coffee beans
for garnish
Instructions
Cinnamon Vanilla Syrup
Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add water, cinnamon sticks and vanilla seeds and the spent pods to a medium saucepan.
Stir together over medium heat and bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. (If using vanilla extract instead of a vanilla bean, add it now.)
Transfer to a glass jar and seal tightly with a lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
Virgin Espresso Martini
To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the zero-proof coffee liqueur, espresso and cinnamon vanilla syrup. Shake vigorously.
Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with 3 espresso beans arranged in a triangle shape.
