In a blender, combine the frozen dragon fruit cubes, frozen mixed red fruits, frozen banana and milk.
1 cup frozen, cubed dragon fruit , 1 cup frozen mixed red fruits, 1 whole banana, 1 cup milk of choice
Blend until smooth and well combined. If the base is too thick, add a splash more milk. If it's too thin, add a few ice cubes or a handful of frozen fruit and blend again.
½ cup ice cubes
Wash and prep the toppings. Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice. Peel and slice the kiwi and banana.
3 to 4 whole strawberries, 1 whole kiwi, 1 whole banana, ¼ cup blackberries, ¼ cup blueberries
Pour the base into a bowl. Arrange the toppings on top, working largest to smallest from the outside in. Serve immediately.
1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
Notes
Making ahead: The base can be made ahead and stored in the fridge, but it will settle and separate. Re-blend before serving, adding a little ice or frozen fruit to get the right consistency back.Frozen fruit is essential for a thick, spoon-able base — fresh fruit will make it too thin. However, if that's all you have, be sure to add ice. Milks: Swap soy milk for any dairy or non-dairy milk. You can even use orange juice or any other juice since this is a fruity smoothie recipe.
