Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 5 ounces fresh orange juice
  • ice
  • orange slice for garnish

Instructions

  • Place ice into a rocks glass or highball glass.
  • Pour in vodka.
  • Top with orange juice.
  • Stir gently.
  • If desired, garnish with a slice of orange and a sprig of mint.

Notes

Spring for a quality vodka. The best you can afford should be perfect, but don’t buy the cheapest.
Don’t use orange juice with pulp. If you do, be prepared to strain it out yourself for the best texture.
Fresh orange juice makes a big difference in flavor. Be sure to strain out the pulp.
