Brandy Alexander Cocktail
The Brandy Alexander is a creamy classic cocktail that tastes like a boozy milkshake.

Ingredients
- 1 ounce brandy ideally cognac
- 1 ounce heavy cream
- 1 ounce crème de cacao
- pinch freshly grated nutmeg
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the brandy, cream and crème de cacao.
- Cover and shake well. Strain into a martini glass.
- Grate whole nutmeg over top of the drink to garnish.
Notes
In lieu of freshly-grated nutmeg, you can sprinkle on ground nutmeg. However, fresh nutmeg has the best aroma and flavor.
Don’t shake too hard — you want the drink thick, but you‘re not making whipped cream!
Level up this drink with cognac, which has a more complex flavor.
