Drain ⅓ cup of syrup from the cherry jar. Add the vodka, seal the jar and swirl gently to combine. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for a stronger flavor.
¼ cup vodka, 10 ounces maraschino cherries
Remove the infused cherries and pat completely dry with paper towels.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

For homemade colored sanding sugar, stir in a few drops of food coloring until evenly evenly distributed.
Holding each cherry by the stem, dip into the melted chocolate. Before it hardens, roll it in sanding sugar, sprinkles or colored wafers. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
