Serve up a little Halloween trick, the Black Magic cocktail. Basically a French 75 with black vodka, this drink is sure to trick and treat.

Ingredients
For the black vodka
1
cup
vodka
3
drops
liquid red food color
3
drops
liquid green food color
3
drops
liquid blue food color
For the cocktail
1
ounce
black vodka
1
ounce
simple syrup
¾
ounce
fresh-squeezed lemon juice
3
ounces
brut champagne
chilled
lemon wheel
or twist, for garnish
Instructions
To make the black vodka, add the food coloring to the vodka and stir or shake to combine. Makes 8 1-ounce servings.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine black vodka, simple syrup and lemon juice. Shake vigorously and strain into a champagne flute.
Top with champagne and garnish with a lemon wheel or twist. Serve immediately.
