4 cups cranberries 1 cup light brown sugar 1 cup cane sugar 1/4 cup bourbon 1 tablespoon orange juice
makes: 2 cups
1/2 teaspoon orange zest 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Combine cranberries and sugars in a pot over medium heat.
Stir the cranberry mixture frequently until the sugar has melted, about 2-3 minutes.
Add bourbon, orange juice, orange zest, vanilla and spices. Simmer 20 minutes, stir often.
When your sauce reaches your desired consistency, remove from heat and let cool.
Enjoy as a side for your turkey (of course), mix into cocktails or use as an ice cream topping!
