Pumpkin Spice Syrup

a saucepan a mesh strainer a mason jar or bottle with a lid

Prep Time: 25 Min

1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup cane sugar 1 cup water 1/4 cup pumpkin puree 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

makes: 1 cup


1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

Combine sugar + water.


In a saucepan over medium heat, stir sugars and water until dissolved. Don't boil.

Pumpkin, please!


Stir pumpkin puree and vanilla  into the sugar mixture until dissolved.

Spice things up.


Stir the spices into your pumpkin and sugar mixture.

Cook the mixture.


Leave on medium heat for about 10 minutes, being careful not to boil. Don't forget to stir!

Chill out.


Turn off the heat and let the mixture sit for 15 minutes.



Use a fine mesh strainer to strain your mixture, leaving you with a smooth liquid.

Store and enjoy!


Store in a jar with a lid up to one week. Mix into your fall drinks and cocktails to enjoy!
