Apple Cider  Sangria

Apple cider sangria is the ultimate fall party drink. You can make it for any autumn gathering with friends, but it's also a great drink to share on Thanksgiving. Plus, it's so easy!

apples cinnamon sticks white wine apple cider bourbon triple sec

makes: 2 quarts


ginger beer cinnamon sugar maple syrup rosemary star anise

Best white wine

You'll need one bottle of white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio.

Slice the apples.


Add apples and cinnamon to a pitcher.

Add the liquids.


Fill the pitcher with white wine, apple cider, bourbon and orange liqueur. Refrigerate for an hour.

Rim the glasses.


Dip rims of glasses in maple syrup, letting any excess drip off, then in cinnamon sugar.

Fill the glasses.


Add ice to the rimmed glasses. Fill with sangria, then top up with ginger beer.



Finally, finish off the glasses with fresh rosemary, star anise and cinnamon sticks.

You can use spiced rum or brandy instead of bourbon whiskey.

Make it sweeter by using a moscato or riesling wine.

Want it even sweeter? Add maple syrup or honey to the mix.
