About this Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shot recipe

Cereal milk had a moment a few years ago, thanks to chef Christina Tosi of Milk Bar. The culinary world had a field day with recipes like cereal milk ice cream and cereal milk tiramisu.

I wished the fad stuck around longer. Who has time to steep cereal in milk for hours? (Okay, me sometimes — I love to use graham cracker cereal milk in a s’mores White Russian.) That’s why I love the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shot. It captures the flavor of that sweet, cinnamon-spiced milk without any cereal at all.

I turned it into a cocktail for my sister-in-law’s bachelorette party — her favorite cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch — by adding a splash of cream to the mix of Fireball and RumChata. The result? A cozy, cinnamon-forward martini-style drink any cereal lover will adore. Truly, if you love cereal or cinnamon anything, you are going to love this warm and cozy spiced cocktail!

I also added a cinnamon sugar rim (a mix of ground cinnamon * and sugar) to the glasses for a little extra flavor to this cinnamon-y shot. But it’s totally optional. For that you’ll need cinnamon sugar and a little simple syrup or honey make it stick to the rim.

You could also garnish them with some whipped cream and even a piece of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal!

Instructions

Here’s how to make these tasty shots:

Pour some cinnamon sugar on a plate, and some simple syrup on another. Dip the edge of a coupe glass * in simple syrup. Roll the rim of the shot glass * in the cinnamon sugar to coat the rim.

In a cocktail shaker * filled with ice, add the Fireball, Rumchata and heavy cream. Shake well to get a thick, velvety texture. Strain into the rimmed glass and enjoy!

Tips & tricks

Make this boozy adult treat even better!

  • For an extra touch, rim the glasses with cinnamon sugar. I like to use my apple cider spice mix for a little extra spice.
  • If you want a lighter version, try adding a splash of milk or half-and-half for a creamier texture.
  • You could make them into a cinnamon toast crunch shot by pouring the recipe into shot glasses *. (Skip the cream if you want more potent shots.)

This sounds wonderful! I’ve been mixing RumChata with just about everything – even Amaro – and the cocktail ends up being delicious! I have a cocktail on my blog that’s called Christmas in Your Mouth! With RumChata. A magical liqueur. And your cocktail is very pretty!
