The Essentials
Every traveler should have these items! Shop now for the travel lover in your life.
Every traveler needs a good set of luggage. I have this same set and it's so versatile and packs so well!
A sturdy duffle bag that can stand up to baggage claim conveyor belts is key!
This is my favorite thing ever. I carry it with me everywhere, but I'd be extra lost without it on a trip. Hello, terrible battery life — and goodbye forever!
Does anyone call them bookbags anymore? No? Just me? Okay, well, they're still a handy thing to take on your trips! This one fits a laptop and has several interior pockets. I have one of these and it's my go-to carry-on!
Any traveler needs luggage tags. They break, fall off, disappear — so a backup is always handy. These ones come in a bunch of different colors!
I do not travel without at least 4 packing cubes. I love them for compartmentalizing my clothes and other items, and they're great for separating out laundry for the trip home. This brand is my favorite for how sturdy they are!
A great water bottle is key for staying hydrated on your trip. I always pack an empty one of these, fill it with water at the airport and refill it throughout my trip. This one keeps your beverage cold (or hot!) and it's the perfect size.
Every dude needs a dopp kit! This one comes with empty bottles for things like shampoo and body wash, and there's room for his hair gel and deodorant too!
DIY Gifts
Even travelers can enjoy DIY gifts! These ones are exceptionally fun!
Make them a set of postcards to send from their travels! (Don't forget the postcard stamps.)
Upgraded Essentials
Treat your adventurer to some upgraded travel essentials that they may or may not already have — but totally need!
Us bespectacled folk know: A new case for glasses or sunglasses is always welcome!
Creases, begone! Steamers are the answer.
Compression socks don't need to be ugly, you guys. Travel should be fun! These ones come in a bunch of different colors and patterns.
Neck pillows are great for overnight flights (and road trips that require naps). But this one extends below the chin too, so you can get some extra support with your ZZZs.
Most travel hair dryers are cheap and break easily. But this one is a step up to salon quality dryness.
Not going to lie to you: I sleep with one of these exact eye masks every night, even in my house. But I'd be remiss to leave home without one. You never know what you'll get with hotels and airplanes, and I'd rather make sure the light stays out of my eyes while I snooze! Plus, they protect your eyes and don't feel like you're wearing anything at all.
Things They Don't Know They Need Yet
Surprise your traveler with something they don't know they need! YET! These are some of my favorite travel secrets.
These infinity scarves have a hidden passport pocket. So perfect for stashing important stuff like extra cash, tickets and passports — and no one will ever be the wiser!
I carried a purse from Travelon throughout Europe, and I loved it. The best part is they keep your credit card info secure from scammers via its an RFID blocking pocket!
As a frequent booze-souvenir purchaser, I no longer travel without these. If you know anyone who likes to — or might like to — bring wine or liquor home from their next adventure, these bottle protectors are for them. They are light and super thin, but I've never had a bottle break with them! (But even if one did, the liquid would be secure inside the zipper.)
I almost always have an extra grocery bag in my purse. These are so handy for unexpected souvenirs or a quick grocery trip. They are lightweight and fold up well, which I love!
Be an eco-friendly traveler with silicone zip bags that you can use again and again. We used something like this on our honeymoon and they were perfect for impromptu picnics and carrying snacks on the go!
A friend introduced me to these ones by Stasher, which are such a great quality for storing snacks and more on your trips!
For the Road Tripper
Road trips can be an adventure, but it's best to be prepared. Give your favorite road tripper one of these essentials!
No road trip is complete without a place to store the snacks! This one even has a plug for your car outlet so you can keep them cool even on longer trips.
If you're in North Carolina, these fun maps are a great way to tour the state through beer, barbecue and fried chicken. Give them as a set or gift them to three different people! (Or give two and keep one for you!)
My dad got me one of these when I was in college. I thought it was a lame gift then, but I am so grateful for it now. Those jumper cables have come in handy so many times — as recently as last month!
Happy shopping! // susannah
