Hello, 2017! Let’s wish Feast + West a happy birthday! Plus, here’s a look at the year ahead.
Happy new year! I love this time of year because it’s back to business as usual after the busy holiday season, but it also comes with the fresh feeling of renewal.
But the celebration isn’t over yet: Jan. 1 was Feast + West‘s birthday! Three years ago, I was snowed in while housesitting for my brother in Washington, D.C. and I spent several days snuggled up with his cats as I planned, wrote and designed this blog. I’ve never looked back. My, how this website has changed my life.
Naturally, while everyone else is enjoying smoothies and salads this week, I’ll be sharing birthday-themed goodness you can enjoy all year long. And then I’ll get onto the healthy food bandwagon. (Promise.)
After sharing my 2016 year in review, I’ve been reflecting a lot on my goals for Feast + West in 2014, 2015 and 2016. I always do this because it helps me check in with where I wanted to be the year before and plan for the year ahead.
In 2017, you can expect more travel posts, new ebooks and more frequent newsletters. And lots, lots more cocktails, desserts, party food and meals.
Some personal goals for 2017? Cook dinner at home more often. Go to sleep earlier. Read more novels. Yoga more. (I have more than that, but I like to keep personal things personal.)
