Spring Mixtape + An Announcement

Spring Mixtape // Feast + West

Spring is almost here! Hooray! It’s the season of spring break and sundresses and sunshine. Colorful flowers will be blooming any day now and the weather should start warming up too. Who’s excited to put this messy winter behind us?

As you are headed into spring, though, I’m headed into the end of summer. My mom and I are leaving at the end of this week to visit our family in South Africa. We’ll be gone for about a month. I wanted to make sure there was still lots of content for you on Feast + West, so I asked some friends to help me out.

These lovely folks are helping me out while I am away this month! I am so excited to introduce them to you. Be sure to visit their blogs and say hello!

Alexandria of A Modern Girl’s Travels // Amy of Créatrice Mondriale
Becca of Two Places at Once // Beverly of Beverly Bean // Bri of Life by Bri
Chrissie of Off the Eaten Path // Erika of Erika Gibson Design
Erin of The Speckled Palate // Jenna of Dearest Love // Katie of Twin Stripe
Linda of Brunch with Joy // Meghan of Cake ‘n’ Knife // Melissa of Glisten & Grace

Anyway! Whenever I travel, I like to make a playlist to listen to on the plane. I put together this spring mixtape for myself, and I thought I’d share it with you too. What’s on it? Well, I am majorly loving the new album from The Decemberists right now and I am so excited for Sufjan Stevens‘s new one to come out later this month. I’m also a longtime fan of The Be Good Tanyas and lead singer Frazey Ford‘s latest solo album does not disappoint. And there’s a few other surprises. Give it a listen on Rdio or Spotify and let me know what you think in the comments!

I’ll be checking in on Instagram (here and here) a lot while I’m gone, so be sure to follow along on my travels there. I’ll miss you guys but I’ll be back before you know it! // susannah
