A classic cocktail for the serious mixologist
- 2 1/2 ounces bourbon or rye whiskey
- 1/2 ounce sweet Italian vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Ice cubes
- Maraschino cherry, for garnish
- Orange peel twist, for garnish
- Add bourbon, vermouth and bitters to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry and an orange twist.
