Today I’m headed to St. Louis with my mom for the wedding of a very dear friend. I’m super pumped to celebrate with her and also to get out of town for a few days after an extraordinarily busy September. There’s nothing more refreshing than spending a little time somewhere else. I’ve never been to St. Louis before, so I’m thrilled that we will have a day to explore St. Louis before the wedding festivities begin.
As much as I love traveling, getting ready to go is always the hardest part for me. I take forever to pack because I don’t want to forget anything. I pick out too many outfits, then I take stuff out and take stuff out and take stuff out. The whole process can get very messy. I recently discovered Packpoint, an app that generates custom packing lists based on your planned activities and the expected weather at your destination.
The Packpoint app has become my packing companion. I think my favorite part is the planned activities section. You can choose as many as you like from things like Swimming, Working and Formal Dinner. I also love that it provides customization for both men and women, and it’s easy to add new items to any list. It even includes essentials like phone chargers and house keys — ensuring that you won’t forget anything. That’s the kind of app I need very time I travel.
And now, I’m signing off for the weekend. Tomorrow, I’ve invited Katie from Twin Stripe (and who hails from St. Louis!) to share a cocktail recipe with you. Be sure to check back tomorrow to see the delicious libation she dreamed up! I’ll see you again Monday, but you can definitely follow my adventures on Instagram here and here! Have a great weekend. // susannah

Enjoy St Louis! I went to college there. Try some Imos Pizza. Will check out the app.

What a cool app! I never would have thought something like that existed, but what a terrific idea. Can’t wait to try it on my next trip. Thanks!

Isn’t it fun? I cycle apps in and out all the time (I am always running out of space), but I definitely need to download it again next month when I travel to a conference! Thanks so much for stopping by, Shaina!
