Yields 1/2 cup. Easily multipliable — just use a 1:1 ratio of water to honey (equal parts of each). Though you could use plain honey, it should be noted that honey doesn’t mix well unless warmed first. This syrup helps the honey to mix better in cocktails.
- 1/4 cup honey (I always use local honey)
- 1/4 cup water
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine equal parts of honey and water. Stir until warmed through and combined.
- Let cool completely before mixing in the cocktail.
- Store in a glass jar with a lid in the refrigerator for future uses.
