Strawberry Lemonade Shandies

Strawberry Lemonade Shandies // Feast + West

These strawberry lemonade shandies were such refreshing libations at our picnic. Shandies make for a great picnic cocktail, because you can pack the beer and lemonade in a cooler to keep them chilled, then mix them on site in cups or jars. We also brought along fresh, sliced strawberries from the farmers market. We recommend using a canned beer, such as Deep River’s Twisted River Wit, so you have a lesser risk of broken glass at your picnic. A lighter beer, such as a Belgian, a Pilsner or an India Pale Ale will work the best with the lemonade. See the recipe below!

STRAWBERRY LEMONADE SHANDIES

Makes one cocktail

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces strawberry lemonade
  • 4 ounces beer (a Belgian, a Pilsner or an India Pale Ale will work best)
  • 3-4 strawberries, sliced

Instructions

Fill a glass halfway with the strawberry lemonade. Slowly, top with beer. Add strawberry slices for garnish. Serve immediately
