Traveling can be overwhelming, especially when you visit big cities. I often turn to sites and travel apps like Yelp and Foursquare for insightful tips, but sometimes they can be impersonal and disconnected. It’s always helpful to have a list of eateries and activities with your friends’ stamp of approval.
Jauntful, a new web app, puts the emphasis back on the user — the person who is actually traveling. The app helps you create and share beautiful, personal city guides with just a few clicks. All you do is add venues and tips, and Jauntful does the rest. It can also generate a printable PDF of your list — totally beating a haphazard email or some addresses scrawled on a napkin.
I created guides to my favorite restaurants and bars in Charlotte and Raleigh, and I can see myself using Jauntful again in the future. It would be a great way to list must-dos for house guests or for friends visiting a city where you used to live. It would also be a good way to bookmark favorite spots from a past trip. Would you use Jauntful? Sound off in the comments. // susannah
