Friday Finds + Flowers

Spring really is close. The flowers are already beginning to bloom, and the buds are starting to show on the trees. One benefit of having an almost-spring birthday is there is always an abundance of floral beauties. I received an amazing six bouquets of flowers for my birthday last week — my desk was crowded but gorgeous! I was sad to say goodbye to these stunning irises from my mom. Truly, there is nothing like the joy of having fresh flowers around you. I’m glad there will be more flowers to come!

I’m also really looking forward to the good weather this weekend. I might even lay in the sun and read a book for a while. I’d be a fool not to enjoy the 77-degree weather we’re supposed to have in Charlotte tomorrow. In the meantime, though, here are my Friday Finds, a few of my favorite things from the web this week. I hope you get a chance to enjoy the sunshine! // susannah

A few summers ago, I listened to Torches by Foster the People non-stop, and now I always think of that summer whenever I hear that album. I was really excited to see Foster the People perform a song from their new album Supermodel on The Tonight Show earlier this week. (Is anyone else as obsessed with Jimmy Fallon as I am?!) I’ll probably be listening to this album all summer long, and that’s fine with me!
