The other day, I stumbled across these incredible flags made of food, and I thought I would share them in honor of tomorrow’s opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics. I have fond memories of attending the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta with my family and using a pocket-sized flag book my parents gave me to identify the competing countries. I got to be quite good at it!
Ad agency Whybin/TBWA created these food flags for the Crave Sydney International Food Festival in 2011, now known as Good Food Month. Each flag is styled with popular cuisine from that country. My favorites are probably France and India, but I find each one to be quite clever and very well done. Find all 18 here. // susannah
